IRS CEO Frank Bisignano is reconciling Social Security databases and deploying AI to combat benefit fraud as part of a broader Trump administration initiative.
Internal Revenue Service CEO Frank Bisignano is leading a targeted effort to eliminate the fraudulent use of Social Security benefits, specifically focusing on the use of stolen or deceased persons' identification numbers. This initiative is part of a coordinated Trump administration task force designed to combat fraud and waste across government agencies.
Bisignano is overseeing the modernization of the IRS and the Social Security Administration by reconciling the Numident database to remove inaccurate records. To improve service and record accuracy, the agency is integrating artificial intelligence into its processes, although Bisignano stated that human oversight will remain mandatory to validate all results.
Beyond fraud prevention, the administration is promoting the creation of Trump Accounts. Bisignano describes these as long-term savings and investment vehicles that could potentially provide financial opportunities for 70 million children.
