PDP Rejects APC Claims Over Nigeria Economic Hardship
The Peoples Democratic Party rejected claims by the ruling All Progressives Congress that previous administrations are responsible for current hunger and economic hardship in Nigeria.
The Peoples Democratic Party rejected claims by the ruling All Progressives Congress that previous PDP-led administrations are responsible for current hunger and economic hardship in Nigeria. In a statement issued Monday in Abuja, PDP National Publicity Secretary Jungudo Mohammed characterized the ruling party's remarks as an attempt to evade responsibility and divert public attention from the current administration's challenges.
The dispute follows statements by APC Publicity Secretary Felix Moka and remarks attributed to President Bola Tinubu during a campaign event in Kaduna. While the PDP acknowledged some achievements of the Tinubu administration, it argued that 16 years of previous governance cannot serve as a blanket justification for current shortcomings.
The PDP demanded that the APC provide concrete plans for job creation, security, and food affordability. Jungudo Mohammed stated that Nigerians deserve solutions rather than political blame games after more than a decade of APC governance.
