Republican Ed Gallrein Wins Kentucky 4th Congressional District

Republican Ed Gallrein defeated Democrat Melissa Strange and Libertarian Jeremy Todd to win the seat for Kentucky's 4th Congressional District.

Republican Ed Gallrein won the election for Kentucky's 4th Congressional District, defeating Democratic candidate Melissa Strange and Libertarian candidate Jeremy Todd. A former Navy SEAL and farmer, Gallrein campaigned as a Reagan Republican focused on lower taxes, smaller government, and constitutional liberties. He received support from President Donald Trump, who held a campaign rally in Northern Kentucky to bolster his candidacy.

Gallrein will succeed outgoing Congressman Thomas Massie, who lost the primary election. Massie has already filed a statement of candidacy to run for the seat again in 2028.

Opponents focused their campaigns on different priorities. Melissa Strange ran on a platform centered on political corruption and inflation, while Jeremy Todd campaigned on reducing wasteful spending and ending foreign conflicts.
