President Donald Trump was secretly evacuated from Ankara, Turkey, on July 8 following intelligence of an Iranian assassination plot. After publicly boarding a legacy Air Force One aircraft to mislead observers, Trump was clandestinely shuttled via a hydraulic airport catering truck to a smaller Air Force C-32A military jet. The original aircraft served as a decoy, carrying over 100 passengers—including journalists and senior officials such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent—who were largely unaware they were serving as decoys. Some passengers were instructed to keep their window shades closed during takeoff to conceal the president's absence.
