Goldman Sachs Promotes 109 Executives to Partner Class

Goldman Sachs promoted 109 executives to partner, its largest class since 2010, while omitting demographic data due to federal DEI policy shifts.

Goldman Sachs promoted 109 executives to partner on November 5, 2026, marking the largest partner class for the firm since 2010. The new cohort, which takes effect on January 1, includes a record 13 engineers and significant representation from the asset and wealth management division, which accounts for 30% of the promotions. The average tenure of the new partners is 17 years, with 39% having joined as campus hires and 28% as interns.

In a departure from previous years, the firm omitted a demographic breakdown of the new class. A firm executive attributed this change to the evolving legal environment following President Donald Trump's campaign against diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Despite the lack of a detailed breakdown, the firm noted that it will have more than 100 female partners for the first time.

The total partnership will consist of approximately 500 members, representing about 1% of the company's 47,000 employees.
