House Passes $95 Billion Budget as Trump Warns Iran

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a Republican-led $95 billion budget proposal to fund the war in Iran and other White House priorities in a narrow 216-214 vote. The funding coincides with an escalation in military action, as the U.S. military conducted its 12th night of airstrikes against Iran to secure the Strait of Hormuz.

Donald Trump warned that the United States will bomb and destroy one bridge or power plant every time the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship in the strait, regardless of the weapon used. These strikes are intended to degrade Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping.

In separate diplomatic and domestic moves, the U.S. and Saudi Arabia signed a nuclear cooperation agreement potentially allowing the kingdom to enrich uranium. President Trump also promoted the Trump Accounts program, which provides $1,000 in seed money for babies born between 2025 and 2028.
