Trump Super PACs Shift Funds to Key Senate Races
Republican super PACs are redirecting midterm spending toward five key Senate races as a Pew Research poll reveals widespread economic instability among Americans.
Republican super PACs aligned with Donald Trump are redirecting financial resources ahead of the November 3 midterm elections to protect the Republican Senate majority. Federal Election Commission filings show that groups including MAGA Inc. and No Going Back are pulling funds from House races and Senate contests in Georgia and North Carolina. These organizations are now concentrating spending on key Senate races in Texas, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, and Alaska.
Steve Cortes, head of the League of American Workers, indicated that resources are better spent saving the Senate than on House districts that are no longer salvageable. No Going Back has already begun spending millions on television advertisements in Ohio and Michigan as part of this strategic pivot.
This political shift occurs alongside a Pew Research Center poll released October 19, 2026, which highlights severe economic instability across the United States. The data shows that 26% of residents in the Midwest cannot pay some of their bills, and 67% have reduced spending on non-essential items. Researchers attribute this financial strain to rising costs for rent, healthcare, and gasoline, the latter of which spiked due to a war with Iran.
