Zelenskyy Dismisses Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States

Stefanishyna served in the role for nearly a year, claiming she successfully boosted American weapons supplies while the political climate in Washington shifted. However, Ukrainian media reports indicate her exit may be linked to investigations by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine regarding irregularities in her asset declarations, though no formal charges have been filed.

This diplomatic change is part of a larger government shake-up that included the replacement of the prime minister and defense minister in July. The reshuffle occurs as Kyiv continues to lobby Washington for additional Patriot air defense systems. Simultaneously, the region saw intensified conflict as Russian forces targeted a gas station in Dnipropetrovsk and a publishing house in Kharkiv, while Ukrainian drones struck the Vladimir and Krasnodar regions of Russia, as well as occupied Crimea.
