Nyesom Wike Concludes Month-Long Project Commissioning Program in Abuja

Nyesom Wike concluded a 31-day infrastructure commissioning program in Abuja, marking President Bola Tinubu's third anniversary with over 53 completed projects.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike concluded a 31-day project commissioning program on July 17, 2026. The initiative, which began on June 9 to commemorate President Bola Tinubu's third anniversary in office, culminated with the opening of the reconstructed Arab/Gbazango Road in Kubwa, Bwari Area Council.

Wike reported that the administration delivered over 53 commissioned projects, including 221 completed kilometers of roads across various satellite towns. He described the extended exercise as "unprecedented in the history of this country" and claimed the tangible results have neutralized political opponents.

During the final event, Wike directed the Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority to address community water supply challenges. He pledged to commission at least 10 additional projects before the end of the year, asserting that governance depends on commitment.
