India, France, and UAE Hold Trilateral Cooperation Meeting

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot, and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a trilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly. The ministers reviewed partnerships and discussed cooperation in space, artificial intelligence, and energy.

The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to building constructive ties through concrete initiatives based on "shared interests and complementary capabilities." Beyond technological and energy sectors, the group exchanged views on the current situation in West Asia and other regional and international developments.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan chaired the session, which also included discussions on the UN General Assembly agenda. S Jaishankar announced that the three countries agreed to meet again soon to advance these discussions. Separately, Sheikh Abdullah held bilateral meetings with foreign ministers from Bulgaria, Malta, Latvia, Lithuania, Vietnam, and the Marshall Islands to discuss trade, investment, and peace.
