Donald Trump Urges Supporters to View Candidates as Proxies

Donald Trump urged supporters at campaign rallies to "Just close your eyes and pretend that I’m on the ballot" during the 2026 election cycle. The president's statement encourages voters to view Republican candidates as proxies for his own political platform.

This call to action occurs amid public debate over the state of the United States, specifically regarding rising costs for groceries, gasoline, and heating oil. The discourse also includes concerns over ongoing foreign conflicts and the business profits generated by the president's family since his return to the White House.
