State Department Issues Commemorative Trump Passports for US Semiquincentennial

The U.S. State Department is issuing limited commemorative passports featuring President Donald Trump to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

The United States Department of State will issue a limited number of commemorative passports to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in July. These special edition documents feature a portrait and signature of President Donald Trump positioned opposite a depiction of the 1776 signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The passports include customized artwork and enhanced imagery but retain standard security features. They are available without an additional fee exclusively at the Washington Passport Agency while supplies last, and will not be provided to applicants applying by mail.

This initiative is part of a wider series of anniversary celebrations, including the production of a commemorative gold coin by the U.S. Mint and a decision by the Treasury Department to place the president's signature on paper currency. These actions align with a broader administration pattern of attaching the president's name or likeness to official government property, such as federal buildings, government websites, and Navy warships.
