Narendra Modi Praises PM SVANidhi Impact on Women Entrepreneurs

Narendra Modi highlighted the success of the PM SVANidhi Yojana in empowering women entrepreneurs during the 137th episode of his monthly radio program, Mann Ki Baat, on August 30, 2026. He reported that nearly 46 percent of the scheme's beneficiaries are women, which accounts for approximately 35 lakh individuals using the financial assistance to grow their businesses.

Modi stated that the program provides new strength to women selling items such as fruits, vegetables, and puja materials on city streets by removing capital barriers that typically hinder growth. He cited specific examples of women in Ghaziabad, Bengaluru, Nagaland, and Odisha who utilized government support and training to transition from small stalls to permanent shops.
