Donald Trump Holds Midterm Rally in Youngstown Ohio

President Donald Trump visited Youngstown, Ohio, on October 12, 2026, for a midterm rally at the Covelli Centre to generate support for Republican candidates ahead of the November elections. The event featured a lineup of speakers including U.S. Senators Jon Husted and Bernie Moreno, as well as gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

The Republican National Committee and Mahoning County Republican Party Chair Tom McCabe announced that the event schedule was pushed back by one hour. Arena doors opened at 3:30 p.m., the program began at 5:30 p.m., and Trump was scheduled to deliver remarks at approximately 7 p.m. McCabe confirmed the timing changes, though the reason for the delay was not disclosed.

The rally took place amid a competitive political climate in Ohio, specifically regarding Senator Jon Husted's close race against former U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown. Several groups organized protests outside the arena to demonstrate against the president during his visit.
