Kyrgyzstan Prepares for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Visit

Investment Minister Ravshanbek Sabirov announced that the upcoming visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Kyrgyzstan is expected to significantly enhance bilateral economic ties, trade, and investment. Sabirov described the visit as a historic event that will allow Kyrgyzstan to present investment opportunities to Indian companies in sectors including renewable energy, hydropower, infrastructure, technology, tourism, and the agro-industrial sector.

Bilateral trade between the two nations reached approximately $91 million in 2024, with Kyrgyzstan exporting gold, honey, and dried fruits to India. Under the priority of President Sadyr Japarov, the Kyrgyz government seeks to modernize its economy and generate employment through these strategic partnerships.

Beyond economic goals, Sabirov noted potential for cooperation in higher education, specifically medical studies, and the strengthening of long-standing cultural ties. The government intends to support Indian investors by providing assistance and monitoring the implementation of new projects.
