APC Mobilizes Support for Tinubu in Kebbi State

Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, visited Birnin Kebbi to mobilize support for the 2027 general elections. During the visit, Yari defended President Bola Tinubu against criticism regarding Nigeria's widespread insecurity, arguing that the current administration is making its utmost effort to address the challenges.

Yari compared the current situation to the tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari, noting that if a retired Army General could not completely eliminate security threats, a civilian president should not be expected to do so alone. He urged Nigerians to view national security as a collective responsibility rather than the sole burden of the presidency.

Governor Nasir Idris affirmed his solidarity with the APC and President Tinubu, citing the benefits Kebbi State has received from federal government projects. Yari also addressed economic concerns, claiming that inflation and fertilizer prices have declined and highlighting federal cash transfers intended to assist vulnerable households.
