Nvidia Forecasts $1 Trillion Revenue as Netflix Scales Ad Business

Nvidia projects $1 trillion in revenue by 2027 amid an AI infrastructure boom, while Netflix aims for $3 billion in 2026 advertising revenue.

Major technology firms reported aggressive growth targets and financial gains in April 2026, driven by artificial intelligence and diversifying revenue streams. Nvidia reported a 73% year-over-year surge in fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 sales, reaching $68.1 billion, with data center sales contributing $62.3 billion. Full-year revenue totaled $215.9 billion, supported by massive capital expenditures from Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta, who have collectively pledged up to $700 billion for AI infrastructure this year.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang forecast that the company could reach $1 trillion in revenue by the 2027 calendar year. This trajectory is underpinned by the rollout of next-generation Rubin chips and the continued adoption of Hopper and Blackwell GPUs. Huang linked the demand for compute directly to the ability of customers to generate tokens and revenue in the era of generative and agentic AI.

Simultaneously, Netflix Inc. is pivoting toward an ad-supported model and live events. The company projects its advertising revenue will double to approximately $3 billion in 2026, noting that its ad-supported tier now accounts for over 60% of new sign-ups in available markets. Netflix reported Q1 2026 revenue of $12.25 billion, a 16% increase year-on-year. The company's financial position was further boosted by a $2.8 billion termination fee from an abandoned deal with Warner Bros. Additionally, co-founder Reed Hastings announced he will not seek re-election to the board in June.
