Donald Trump will visit Iowa on October 22 and November 1 to campaign before the November 3 Election Day. Iowa GOP Chair Jeff Kaufmann announced the dates, stating the president is anxious for Iowans to hear his message before they vote.
These visits are part of a nationwide effort to rally Republicans as the party attempts to maintain control of Congress. The stops target several highly contested races in Iowa, including a U.S. Senate seat rated as a toss up by the Cook Political Report and competitive races in the first, second, and third Congressional districts.
Trump last appeared in the state in January at the Horizon Events Center in Clive.
