Donald Trump Rejects Iran Peace Talks Ahead of Midterms

Donald Trump stated that the United States is not currently seeking peace negotiations with Iran, asserting that the conflict will end immediately following the midterm elections in November. He claimed that Iran is monitoring U.S. domestic politics to sustain the conflict until the elections take place.

Trump reported that the Houthis contacted the U.S. to express a preference against American involvement in their skirmishes. While the president maintains a specific timeline for the end of the war, analysts have noted a lack of concrete evidence for active talks or such a deadline.

During a personal trip to Ireland, Trump also expressed support for Irish unification, stating he believes it will happen eventually.
