BJP Mahila Morcha Protests Rahul Gandhi Over Police Misconduct
The BJP Mahila Morcha protested in Delhi demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi for allegedly misbehaving with women police personnel.
The BJP Mahila Morcha staged a protest near the Congress headquarters, Indira Bhawan, in Delhi to condemn Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for alleged misbehaviour toward women police personnel. The BJP accused Rahul Gandhi of inappropriately touching a female constable and alleged that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra punched a police officer during street protests held on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Police established barricades to stop the march, forcing protesters to hold a sit-in before they were eventually allowed to leave. During the demonstration, BJP leaders Yogita Singh and Aarti Mehra demanded a public apology from Rahul Gandhi, arguing that insulting the uniform is unacceptable and reflects an anti-women mindset within the Congress party.
Singh stated that every citizen has a duty to respect the uniform and warned that the BJP Mahila Morcha would intensify its agitation on a larger scale if such behavior does not stop. Mehra called for a national apology from the Congress party, asserting that someone who cannot respect the uniform cannot claim to respect the country's women.
