APC Condemns Atiku Abubakar for Addressing President Tinubu as Bola
The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council criticized Atiku Abubakar for lacking decorum after he addressed President Bola Tinubu by his first name.
The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council condemned former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar for addressing President Bola Tinubu by his first name, Bola. In a statement released Monday, council spokesperson and Minister of Solid Minerals Dele Alake accused Atiku, the presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress, of lacking the decorum expected of a former vice-president and a presidential aspirant.
The council further criticized Atiku for describing the current administration as a "Yahoo Yahoo" government and insinuating that President Tinubu lacked formal education. Despite these accusations of indiscretion, the APC PCC instructed its leaders and members to continue treating Atiku with the respect due to his former office.
The council stated that its campaign would avoid personal attacks, choosing instead to focus on the achievements of the administration as President Tinubu seeks a second-term mandate to move Nigeria from reforms to prosperity.
