Senator Yari Leads APC Campaign to Secure Tinubu Re-election
Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari led a campaign delegation to Kebbi and Katsina states to mobilize support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 2027 re-election bid.
Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, director-general of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign Council, led a delegation to Kebbi and Katsina states to solicit support for the president's re-election. In Kebbi State, Yari met with Governor Nasir Idris and traditional rulers at the Abdullahi Fodio Palace in Gwandu Emirate. Yari stated the council aims to ensure the president secures 25 percent support across all 36 states in the 2027 general elections, while noting the administration's commitment to ending banditry.
Governor Nasir Idris pledged that Kebbi State would deliver massive votes for all All Progressives Congress candidates. In Katsina State, Governor Dikko Radda announced the state's support for the president following Yari's visits to the Katsina and Daura emirates. Radda attributed this loyalty to the president's longstanding relationships with regional leaders, including former President Muhammadu Buhari and the late President Umaru Yar’Adua.
Radda noted that traditional rulers in the region view the president as a "son of the soil" and have pledged their loyalty. The mobilization efforts are part of a broader strategy by the All Progressives Congress to secure the necessary electoral mandate for the presidency and state assemblies in 2027.
