President Donald Trump stated that the United States could immediately end its seven-month military involvement in Iran, provided the U.S. receives guarantees that Tehran will never acquire nuclear weapons. Speaking at Joint Base Andrews, Trump asserted that American operations have already prevented Iran from developing nuclear weapons and destroyed significant portions of its conventional military capability, including its navy, air force, radar systems, and manufacturing infrastructure.
Trump reported that 18 American personnel were killed during the conflict. While he predicted the war would end soon and cause global oil prices to "drop like a rock," he emphasized that long-term assurances are necessary to ensure the nuclear threat does not re-emerge in the future.
