Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced China's readiness to collaborate with all parties for the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Shenzhen.
Wang Yi, the Foreign Minister of China, announced Tuesday that China is prepared to collaborate with all parties to ensure the success of the 33rd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting. The summit, themed "Building an Asia-Pacific Community to Prosper Together," will take place in Shenzhen in November 2026.
During the 37th APEC Ministerial Meeting, which he co-chaired via video conference with Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao, Wang Yi identified innovation, openness, and cooperation as the three priority areas for the year. He reported that the APEC "China Year" has already seen more than 300 meetings and events, leading to various cooperation outcomes.
This event marks the third time China has hosted the summit, following previous meetings in Shanghai in 2001 and Beijing in 2014.
