Omoyele Sowore Rejects Opposition Coalition and Calls for Rallies

Omoyele Sowore rejected an opposition alliance to oust President Bola Tinubu, instead calling for mass street protests and accusing the government of judicial harassment.

Presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore rejected an invitation to join an opposition coalition led by Atiku Abubakar aimed at removing President Bola Tinubu from office. During a Monday interview on the Deep Insight Podcast, Sowore described the coalition members as indecent people and argued that they are not fundamentally different from Tinubu, claiming the group consists of the same politicians who previously destroyed Nigeria.

Following his refusal to join the alliance, Sowore called on Nigerians to mobilize for a Tinubu Must Go rally in Abuja on Tuesday. Speaking after proceedings at the Federal High Court in Abuja regarding the Tinubu Is a Criminal trial, he asserted that the president's tenure is nearing its end and criticized opposition figures for relying on social media rather than street mobilization.

Sowore further accused the administration of using relentless, day-to-day court trials to distract and frustrate him. He claimed these legal proceedings are a deliberate plot to prevent him from campaigning and silence his opposition to the government. Despite these challenges, Sowore stated that intimidation and persecution would not stop his efforts to fight for the Nigerian people.
