Trump Unveils 'Patriot Passport' Featuring His Likeness

President Donald Trump introduced a limited-edition commemorative passport featuring his image to mark the 250th anniversary of United States independence.

Donald Trump unveiled a limited-edition US passport, termed the Patriot Passport, to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence. The design features an image of the president leaning on the Resolute Desk, his signature, and the text of the Declaration of Independence. This marks the first time a living, current president has appeared on a US passport.

The White House and Trump promoted the rendering on Truth Social and X, with Trump describing the document as a new passport that says, "Welcome, but be good!"

Starting July 6, American citizens can apply for the special edition in person at the Washington Passport Agency or through select designated acceptance events. The commemorative design is subject to availability, while online and mail applications remain restricted to the standard passport design. The initiative is part of a larger administration effort to place the president's likeness on federal documents, including banknotes and a commemorative gold coin.
