Rajasthan CM Welcomes Passage of Public Examinations Amendment Bill

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma welcomed the passage of the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, by the Lok Sabha on July 29. Sharma described the legislation as a historic step to eliminate cheating, paper leaks, and the influence of organized examination mafias, ensuring that success for young Indian aspirants is determined by merit and hard work.

Sharma credited the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central government for the initiative, stating that there is "no place in 'New India' for those who jeopardise the future of the youth." He framed the bill as a commitment to transparency and good governance within the national system.

Following the bill's passage, the Chief Minister reaffirmed that the Rajasthan government remains committed to conducting fair and technology-driven competitive examinations. He noted that these state-level efforts support the broader national goal of achieving a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India).
