Trump Says Iran's Mojtaba Khamenei Seriously Wounded in US Strike
President Donald Trump claims Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei survived a US-Israeli strike but suffered severe injuries to the left side of his body.
President Donald Trump stated that Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei survived Operation Roaring Lion but sustained severe injuries to the left side of his body, specifically his arm and leg. Speaking in an interview with Glenn Beck, Trump noted that while Khamenei is likely alive, he was very seriously wounded during the joint US-Israeli strike that killed his father and predecessor, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Trump observed that Mojtaba Khamenei has been absent from public view for six months since assuming leadership. He suggested that if the leader is actually dead, the Iranian government is putting on a show by pretending to consult him for blessings. Trump further characterized the current Supreme Leader as more rational than his father.
Regarding ongoing military operations, Trump reported that US forces destroyed 22 boats overnight as part of a blockade. He praised the United States Navy for its performance and predicted a major victory in the region, comparing the current trajectory to a previous US experience in Venezuela.
