Donald Trump Offers Press Secretary Role to UFC CEO Dana White

President Donald Trump offered the White House press secretary position to UFC CEO Dana White, who scheduled a meeting to discuss the role.

President Donald Trump offered the position of White House press secretary to Dana White, CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, via Truth Social on November 7, 2026. Trump described White as a "violent Fighter and Warrior" and suggested that White bring several UFC fighters, including Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov, to serve as assistants to "defend us against the Lunatic Left."

While some reports initially indicated that White declined the offer, the UFC executive told reporters in London that he was flying to Washington, D.C., for a meeting with Trump on Monday to discuss the role. White signaled openness to the appointment by posting an image of himself at the White House press briefing podium on Instagram with the caption "On to the next chapter," though he noted he already holds many jobs.

The offer comes as Trump overhauls his administration following Republican losses in the midterm elections, which granted Democrats control of both chambers of Congress. Trump appointed Stephen Miller as White House chief of staff to replace Susie Wiles effective November 9. Simultaneously, Trump ordered the Justice Department to investigate Democrats for alleged "extortion at the highest level," calling for the imprisonment of political opponents. The press secretary position has been unstable, following the brief tenure of Katie Zacharia, who was dismissed in October after only a few days in the role.
