APC Stakeholders Demand Edward Onoja Support Kogi East Candidate

Allied Progressives Congress stakeholders in Kogi State are demanding that former Deputy Governor Edward Onoja fully support senatorial candidate Joseph Ameh Erico to ensure party unity.

Allied Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Omala Local Government are calling on former Deputy Governor of Kogi State Edward Onoja to provide full support for Chief Joseph Ameh Erico, the party's senatorial candidate for Kogi East.

Hon. Aminu Attah, an APC chieftain and former Senior Special Assistant to the Kogi State Governor, criticized Onoja for remaining lukewarm toward Erico. Attah alleged that Onoja is conducting a campaign that exclusively supports President Bola Tinubu while ignoring other party flagbearers, a move Attah characterized as party indiscipline and a threat to unity.

Attah dismissed claims that Onoja opposes Erico to protect his own prospects for a federal appointment. He asserted that President Tinubu makes appointments based on competence and commitment rather than the outcome of the senatorial race.
