APC Chieftain Urges Tinubu to Resolve Kano Party Divisions

Aminu Shehu Uba Sharada called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene in internal APC frictions in Kano State to protect 2027 election prospects.

Aminu Shehu Uba Sharada, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State and aide to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has called for urgent reconciliation among party leaders and stakeholders in Kano. In a statement issued Sunday, Sharada appealed to President Bola Tinubu and Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, to intervene in visible divisions within the state chapter.

Sharada warned that the national leadership is not receiving an accurate account of the internal friction, stating that anyone suggesting the party is stable is not giving the president the full picture. He argued that if these disagreements are not addressed early, they could lead to wider consequences for the party during the 2027 general elections.

To avoid these risks, Sharada urged the national leadership to prioritize genuine political engagement and consultation over taking sides. He emphasized that the party must build a united front to secure future victories across presidential, governorship, and legislative levels.
