Laura Loomer Accused of Undisclosed Pay-for-Post Scheme
Right-wing activist Laura Loomer faces allegations of accepting over $60,000 in undisclosed payments to publish political posts on social media.
Right-wing activist Laura Loomer is facing allegations that she operated a pay-to-play business, accepting thousands of dollars from private clients to publish political posts on X without public disclosure. Alex Bruesewitz, an adviser to Donald Trump's 2024 campaign, and three other individuals claim Loomer charged between $3,000 and $5,000 per tweet.
Financial documents reviewed by The Washington Post, including bank transaction emails and a wire transfer statement, show that Loomer and her Florida-based company, King Breaker Media, received more than $60,000 in payments since May 2025. Bruesewitz specifically revealed that he paid Loomer to generate political content on her account.
Loomer denies being a paid influencer, characterizing herself as a journalist and activist. She asserts that payments from Bruesewitz's firm, X Strategies, were for opposition research documents rather than social media posts. Shortly after the allegations surfaced, Loomer announced a hiatus from her show, "Loomer Unleashed," citing wedding preparations and a desire for a healthy work-life balance, though she later claimed the announcement was pre-scheduled.
The controversy highlights a regulatory gap in political messaging, as the Federal Trade Commission lacks jurisdiction over political advertisements. Loomer maintains direct access to President Donald Trump, who has acknowledged listening to her recommendations regarding staff dismissals.
