USCIS Launches Portal for Public Immigration Fraud Tips

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services launched the Protect America Together portal to solicit public reports on immigration fraud and national security threats.

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services launched a new web portal titled Protect America Together to solicit public tips regarding immigration fraud and threats to national security. In announcements made on August 4 and 5, the agency urged the public to report non-citizens suspected of committing fraud, making false claims of U.S. citizenship, or advocating for the violent overthrow of the U.S. government.

Reportable activities include visa fraud within the H-1B and EB-5 programs, support for terrorist ideologies, and actions showing disloyalty to the United States. The portal allows for the reporting of both individuals and businesses, and the agency plans to implement screenshot upload capabilities in the near future.

This initiative aligns with the priorities of the Donald Trump administration, which has focused on mass deportations, tightening legal immigration rules, and denaturalizing citizens convicted of specific crimes. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security confirmed the website is a new push to protect the legal immigration system from fraud that exploits the American people.
