Donald Trump Visits Peterbilt Motors to Tout Trade Agenda

President Donald Trump will visit the Peterbilt Motors facility in Denton, Texas, on Thursday to promote his pro-growth economic agenda and America First trade policies. During the tour, Trump intends to discuss deregulation, tariffs, and the reshoring of manufacturing to the United States.

The White House claims these policies created over one million private-sector jobs and sparked trillions in new investments. The administration specifically asserts that auto industry tariffs helped PACCAR, the parent company of Peterbilt, increase truck production and add more than 2,000 jobs, including 1,000 at the Denton site.

This visit marks Trump's second trip to Texas this month, following his appearances at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas. The trip occurs amid competitive midterm elections in the state, including a toss-up Senate race between Ken Paxton and James Talarico and a closely watched gubernatorial race between Greg Abbott and Gina Hinojosa.
