Kangana Ranaut Slams Gen Z Protests Over NEET Paper Leak
BJP MP Kangana Ranaut condemned Gen Z-led protests against the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, describing social media footage of the demonstrations as puke-inducing.
BJP MP Kangana Ranaut condemned protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party at Jantar Mantar in Delhi regarding the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak. In a series of social media posts, Ranaut described reels of Gen Z protesters as "puke-inducing" and "crass," criticizing their language and behavior. She mocked the group's use of the cockroach as a symbol, claiming the protesters behave like the insects they identify as. Following these posts, Ranaut announced a "digital detox" to heal from the ugliness she witnessed in the videos.
While criticizing the protesters and opposition MPs for disrupting Parliament during discussions on the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, Ranaut praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for establishing a high-powered committee to curb examination corruption.
The demonstrations, which expanded to include demands for transparency and accountability, intensified after a police crackdown at Jantar Mantar and spread to multiple cities across India. The unrest resulted in the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who was replaced by Pralhad Joshi.
