Dan Koh Wins Democratic Primary for Massachusetts Sixth District
Dan Koh won the Democratic primary for Massachusetts' Sixth Congressional District and will face Republican Micah Jones in November.
Former White House aide Dan Koh won the Democratic primary for Massachusetts' Sixth Congressional District on Tuesday. Koh secured the nomination in a crowded field, defeating businessman John Beccia and progressive state representative Tram Nguyen.
The seat became open after Representative Seth Moulton declined to seek re-election to challenge Senator Ed Markey. Koh was the only Democratic congressional candidate in this cycle to receive endorsements from both Joseph R. Biden Jr. and Kamala Harris. If elected in the general election, Koh would become the first Asian American person to represent Massachusetts in Congress.
Koh will face Republican nominee Micah Jones, an Army veteran and lawyer, in the November general election.
