Nvidia Negotiates Additional $1 Billion Investment in Figure AI
Nvidia is in talks to invest another $1 billion in humanoid robotics startup Figure AI to accelerate robot manufacturing and AI model development.
Nvidia is negotiating an additional $1 billion investment in Figure AI, a humanoid robotics startup founded by Brett Adcock in 2022. This potential funding follows Nvidia's participation in a September 2025 Series C round that raised over $1 billion and valued Figure AI at $39 billion.
The partnership extends beyond capital, as Nvidia provides the GPUs and technology powering Figure AI's robot deployments and its Helix foundation model. CEO Jensen Huang described the collaboration as a "robotics flywheel," noting that the arrangement allows Figure AI to train models on Nvidia Vera Rubin hardware and then implement them on Nvidia GPUs inside the robots.
Figure AI plans to use the new resources to resolve shortages in computing power and data. These investments are intended to accelerate the development and manufacturing of its general-purpose humanoid robots.
