Delhi Traders Seek Compensation After Cockroach Janta Party Protests

The Automotive Parts Merchants Association of Delhi urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide compensation for losses caused by Cockroach Janta Party protests.

The Automotive Parts Merchants Association of Delhi has petitioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the judiciary for financial compensation following an October 10 protest organized by the Cockroach Janta Party. The trade body reports significant losses because the disruption occurred during the critical festive season, causing customers to avoid markets for several days. The association is demanding a transparent assessment of these losses and calling for restrictions on future marches that paralyze commercial activity.

In a related development, Delhi Police served a notice to Cockroach Janta Party activist Abhijeet Dipke regarding a proposed Tiranga Yatra in Connaught Place. Authorities warned that the New Delhi Municipal Council had not granted permission for the march, and the council subsequently closed Central Park for administrative reasons.

Abhijeet Dipke defended the right to protest, arguing that business losses are the result of government-imposed shutdowns and restrictions rather than peaceful demonstrations.
