Federal Parastatal Chiefs Pledge 10 Million Votes for Tinubu
Heads of Nigerian federal parastatals formed a coalition to mobilize 10 million votes and provide strategic support for President Bola Tinubu's 2027 re-election bid.
Heads of federal parastatals in Nigeria have established the Forum of Chief Executives of Federal Parastatals to support President Bola Tinubu's 2027 re-election campaign. During a meeting in Abuja with All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda, the coalition pledged to mobilize at least 10 million votes for the president.
The forum intends to provide technical, strategic, and institutional support to the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC). This partnership will focus on grassroots mobilization and a shift in campaign messaging, moving from future promises to communicating the administration's current achievements. Forum leaders emphasized that the group will act as a complementary structure to bring government messaging closer to local communities.
Nentawe Yilwatda welcomed the initiative as timely. The forum has appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume as its patron to oversee the coalition's efforts.
