JD Vance Urges Voters to Give Republicans Another Chance

Vice President JD Vance urged voters to give the Republican administration another chance and another couple of years to continue its work during an appearance on the All-In podcast. Vance cited successes over the last 18 months, including H1B reform, border security, and tax cuts on tips, Social Security, and overtime. He framed the upcoming midterm elections as a choice between Republican common sense and a Democratic party he described as consumed by craziness.

Democratic leaders and critics characterized the plea as a tacit admission of failure. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries argued that the request for another chance signaled that Republicans have failed. These appeals come as polling shows Democrats holding an advantage in congressional races and President Donald Trump facing a 58.5 percent disapproval rating according to pollster Nate Silver.

To incentivize voters, President Trump promised $5,000 dividend checks to every American adult if Republicans retain congressional majorities. House Speaker Mike Johnson noted that such payments would require congressional approval. Trump has also encouraged supporters to vote on November 3, asking them to pretend he is on the ballot.
