Jyotiraditya Scindia Reviews Bharat 6G Alliance Progress
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia assessed the Bharat 6G Alliance's progress in New Delhi to ensure India leads 6G technology deployment by 2030.
Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, reviewed the progress of the Bharat 6G Alliance in New Delhi on Tuesday. Accompanied by Minister of State Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani and Telecom Secretary Amit Agrawal, Scindia assessed the alliance's efforts to meet India's 6G ambitions.
The initiative follows the 6G Vision document released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 22, 2023, which establishes a goal for India to lead the design, development, and deployment of 6G technology by 2030. The Bharat 6G Alliance currently manages seven specialized working groups targeting spectrum, device technology, sustainability, and revenue streams.
Member organizations of the alliance have demonstrated significant technical progress, holding over 7,700 patent filings related to 5G and 6G technologies. This total includes more than 4,400 foreign filings.
