Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Criticizes Modi Over Exam Leaks

During a Lok Sabha discussion on the Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill 2026 on July 28, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticized the Indian government's handling of education and student protests. Vadra alleged a systemic failure in the examination process, citing 152 paper leaks over the last decade. She specifically questioned the use of AK-47s and pellet guns against students protesting exam irregularities.

Vadra further dismissed the government's social media strategies to attract Gen Z, stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi needs to change the angle of his heart rather than the angle of cameras. She demanded that the Prime Minister take responsibility for injustices committed against the youth.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh defended the amendment bill as a commitment to safeguarding student welfare. The session was marked by tension between Vadra and Education Minister Pralhad Joshi over specific remarks made by the Congress MP, necessitating intervention from Speaker Om Birla to maintain focus on the bill.
