Russia Intensifies Missile and Drone Strikes on Kyiv

Russia has increased missile and jet-drone attacks on Kyiv to force Ukrainian capitulation while Donald Trump lifted sanctions on Russian diesel sales.

The Federal Government of Russia has intensified a campaign of missile and jet-powered drone strikes against Kyiv to make the city unlivable and force Ukraine to capitulate. These attacks have targeted residential buildings, critical infrastructure, and bridges over the Dnipro River, causing civilian deaths and intermittent losses of power and running water.

The danger increased in August with the introduction of high-speed jet drones, which Ukraine struggles to intercept consistently. Despite daily air-raid alerts and disruptions to commerce and education, the city has shown no indication of surrender.

Simultaneously, Donald Trump has lifted sanctions on Russian diesel sales and pressured Ukraine to cease its attacks on Russian oil refineries. He has remained silent regarding the ongoing Russian strikes against the Ukrainian capital.
