Supreme Court Rejects Multiple Trump Legal Agenda Priorities

The Supreme Court of the United States is rejecting President Donald Trump's policies on tariffs, classified documents, and birthright citizenship following a period of high success.

The Supreme Court of the United States has begun rejecting the legal agenda of President Donald Trump, signaling a departure from the administration's high success rate with emergency appeals in 2025. The Court recently delivered a defeat regarding Trump's tariff policy and blocked the use of the National Guard to control anti-ICE protests.

In a separate ruling, the Court rejected a motion to return 100 classified documents to a Special Master for privilege review. This decision, which followed opposition from the United States Department of Justice, prevents Trump and his lawyers from accessing Top Secret materials and effectively bypasses previous orders from District Court Judge Aileen Cannon.

The Court also expressed hostility during oral arguments regarding an executive order on birthright citizenship. Legal insiders and Solicitor General D. John Sauer suggest the shift in outcomes is due to the transition from expedited emergency processes to more time-intensive regular proceedings, where the administration's cases face more rigorous scrutiny.
