BJP Accuses Congress of Foreign-Backed Regime Change Plot
BJP leaders allege Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party conspired with foreign powers and a global network to destabilize India and force a change of government.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has accused the Indian National Congress of orchestrating a regime change plot to destabilize India through a coordinated international network. During a press conference in Dumka, MP Nishikant Dubey claimed that Congress leadership and foreign powers are conspiring to break the country, alleging that Rahul Gandhi met with US lawmakers Ilhan Omar and Ro Khanna, as well as associates of businessman Neville Roy Singham, to fuel domestic unrest.
BJP spokespersons Gaurav Bhatia and Pradeep Bhandari further alleged that the communist organization Progressive International coordinated political messaging across India, France, and Albania to acquire power through rebellion. Citing a Fox News digital investigation, the BJP claimed a red-green ecosystem of 101 organizations is linking riots in France and protests in India. The party specifically alleged that Sonia and Rahul Gandhi met with Progressive International representatives at 10 Janpath on April 10, 2025.
Dubey warned that foreign actors could leverage artificial intelligence, cryptocurrency, and online gambling to influence Indian political movements. These allegations coincide with violent anti-government protests in Tirana, Albania, and domestic tensions in Delhi over the denotification of Jantar Mantar as a protest site. While the BJP characterized Rahul Gandhi as a traitor, the Congress party has not yet responded to the allegations.
