Russia Allegedly Provided Iran Targets for Israeli Energy Strikes

Ukrainian intelligence reports that the Federal Government of Russia provided Iran with a detailed blueprint and a list of 55 critical energy infrastructure targets in Israel. These targets are divided into three tiers: high-value production facilities, such as the Orot Rabin power station, major urban and industrial hubs, and local regional substations. Russian intelligence reportedly characterized Israel as an energy island, noting that its isolated grid is uniquely vulnerable to a total collapse if key components are damaged.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, stated that this cooperation mirrors the early stages of the war in Ukraine and represents the export of Russian battlefield knowledge to the Middle East. Ukrainian officials believe Moscow shared this data to embolden Iran and divert global attention from the conflict in Ukraine. The allegations follow a comprehensive strategic partnership treaty signed between Moscow and Tehran in 2025.

Russian Ambassador to Israel Anatoly Viktorov denied the allegations, dismissing the reports as fabrications and accusing Zelenskyy of spreading fakes to regain international focus. Viktorov asserted that Russian political leadership has repeatedly dissented from claims of providing intelligence data to Iran while maintaining that Russia continues to value its security dialogue with Israel.
