Justin Sun Sues Actress Jing Tian for Bride Price

Billionaire Justin Sun is suing actress Jing Tian and her parents to recover 30 million yuan he describes as a bride price.

Billionaire Justin Sun is suing Chinese actress Jing Tian and her parents to recover 30 million yuan, approximately $4.5 million, which he characterizes as a bride price. In an essay posted to X, Sun portrayed Jing as money-hungry, sparking a public dispute that has led Chinese influencers to label him a social outcast.

Jing responded to the allegations on Weibo, stating she "would never trade love for money and believes that justice would prevail." The legal battle emerges during a period of increased Chinese government scrutiny regarding capital flight and conspicuous displays of wealth.

Sun, who built his fortune through the Tron blockchain, is simultaneously facing other legal challenges. World Liberty Financial, a project co-founded by Donald Trump, has counter-sued Sun for defamation following a separate legal conflict involving allegations of extortion.
