Brookfield Launches $100 Billion AI Infrastructure Fund With Nvidia
Brookfield Corporation launched an AI infrastructure fund aiming for $100 billion in assets to build data centers and power systems in partnership with Nvidia Corporation.
The Brookfield Corporation launched the Brookfield AI Infrastructure Fund to address the escalating demand for artificial intelligence hardware and energy capacity. The fund seeks $10 billion in equity commitments to leverage additional financing, targeting the acquisition of up to $100 billion in AI infrastructure assets, including land, energy systems, and data centers.
At the time of launch, the fund had secured $5 billion in commitments, which included capital from Nvidia Corporation. To implement these designs, Brookfield established Radiant, a cloud partner tasked with building AI factories based on Nvidia Corporation's specifications.
Nvidia Corporation CEO Jensen Huang stated that the partnership combines land, power, and supercomputers into a ready-to-deploy AI cloud. He noted that AI will require every nation to build the infrastructure to power the technology. The initiative comes as investors await Nvidia Corporation's quarterly financial results to assess the AI sector's health amid market volatility and legal disputes regarding trade tariffs.
