Amit Shah Mocks Rahul Gandhi and Outlines Punjab Strategy

Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized Rahul Gandhi's leadership ambitions and pledged to make Punjab drug-free by 2029 during a rally in Chandigarh.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a public meeting in Chandigarh on Sunday. Shah mocked Gandhi's "Mohabbat Ki Dukaan" slogan and his use of a mock Parliament to simulate the role of Prime Minister, asserting that Gandhi's ambition to lead the country will not be fulfilled. He further claimed that the Congress party has failed to win a single seat in Delhi over the last three elections.

Turning to regional strategy, Shah outlined the Bharatiya Janata Party's goals for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections. He stated the party intends to form its own government rather than serving as a junior partner in an alliance. As part of this platform, Shah pledged to make Punjab and India drug-free by December 31, 2029.

These declarations come as the Aam Aadmi Party has already released its first list of 40 candidates for the upcoming Punjab elections.
