Donald Trump Defends Gas Prices as Iran Nuclear Deterrent

He defended rising gasoline prices as a necessary trade-off to prevent Iran, which he described as the "number one state sponsor of terror in the world," from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Congresswoman Gwen Moore responded by criticizing the administration's economic policies, stating that high costs for groceries, utilities, and fuel are "busting" household budgets. Moore specifically noted that diesel price increases are harming farmers and food transport. She further criticized a recent legislative bill for providing tax credits that benefit wealthy seniors while failing those reliant on Social Security.

Moore warned that the current economic disparity, where a strong stock market exists alongside widespread poverty, resembles the period immediately preceding the Great Depression.
